Why do we as humans feel that we are obligated everything? We are always in the right. Every time I watch a news report of a bear in someone's backyard, eating their garbage or the person's child nearly escapes, I would always hear the home owner follow up with "bears are creeping into our neighborhoods", "This is our land, something needs to be done" or "We were here first". Really? The bears are creeping into our neighborhoods? This is our land? We were here first? It's the other way around don't you think. The bears were living in the mountains and forest way before we started building houses there. This is really their land and we are the ones creeping into their area.

Just because we know how to build big homes, make huge machineries and have apposable thumbs doesn't mean we have ultimate say over everything. Rather than trying to relocate the animals or worst, kill them off for trying to find food, perhaps we should be the ones relocating to a safer area. What? Force you out of your homes? That's just not right. Yet we do it a number of bear each year.
